THE PROBLEM
Our climate is changing rapidly.
We need to act quickly.
Ventura County is the fastest warming county in the contiguous U.S. and Ojai is experiencing the impacts firsthand.
From a depleted Lake Casitas and an uncertain future for our citrus groves to the Thomas Fire and unrelenting heat waves, our beautiful valley is changing.
The majority of Ojai's emissions come from burning gas in buildings and cars.
As long as our homes burn "natural" gas they will never be carbon-neutral. Same goes for gasoline powered cars.

THE SOLUTION
We have an alternative to fossil fuels: clean electricity!
By transitioning our buildings and cars to run on electricity, we can cut the vast majority of local emissions.
This fuel switching is called electrification.
We have the power to electrify our lives now, without waiting on policymakers to solve the climate crisis.
